Bridge builders completed the lifting of the railway arch span Crimean bridge on fairway supports - to a height of 35 meters above sea level. The structure weighing more than 6,000 tons was lifted with the help of lifting equipment under the supervision of the leading engineers of the project. The process of raising the arch to the design height took about 12 hours. During the day, the arch will be fixed. This is reported by the Information Center "". “The ascent went smoothly. Up to the mark of 10 meters we went more slowly, did a lot of control tests, carried out geodetic control over the state of the structure. Then the main climb began. The arch was raised slightly above the design height for subsequent lowering onto the supporting parts. During the next 24 hours, the structure will be equipped with wind braces - these are devices that secure the arch," said Mikhail Piksaev, Deputy Director for Production at Mostootryad-1. The arch was raised on 700 cables with powerful jacks fixed on supports. For the installation of the overall structure, 16 devices were required, each with a carrying capacity of 650 tons. This made it possible to increase the margin of safety for lifting mechanisms by 40%. Read: Jacks were loaded gradually. The initial load of 5 tons was increased to 100 tons. The structure was raised without deviations, within the alignment between the two supports. After the “separation” of the arch from the floating system by one meter, it was kept suspended for an hour. During this time, the specialists once again checked the reliability of all mechanisms and only after that continued the ascent. This work was attended by 30 engineers, slingers, surveyors and quality specialists. The floating supports, with the help of which the arch was towed, returned to the Kerch coast. They will be rechecked and re-equipped, after which, in the same sequence, the second arched span will be transported and installed - a road one. As a result, two arched spans will rise above the fairway, under which ships will pass unhindered. In the next month, the builders will mount the end elements of the arch, as well as unroll it - lower it onto special supporting parts. Installing the arches of the Crimean bridge in the design position is a unique technological operation. For the first time in the history of domestic bridge building, transportation, positioning in sea conditions and installation from the water on supports of an overall navigable span is carried out. The maritime operation is carried out in conditions of limited navigation with a time "window" of 72 hours. In general, the operation brought together more than a hundred specialists - sailors, specialized engineers, employees of research institutes and ordinary bridge builders.

A video appeared on the Internet showing how bridge builders raised the arched railway span of the Crimean bridge to fairway supports - to a height of 35 meters above sea level. This was reported by the information center of the Crimean Bridge project.

The process of lifting the arch weighing more than 6 thousand tons to the design height took about 12 hours. During the day, the structure will be fixed.

“The ascent went smoothly. Up to the mark of 10 meters we went more slowly, did a lot of control tests, carried out geodetic control over the state of the structure. Then the main climb began. The arch was raised slightly above the design height for subsequent lowering onto the supporting parts. During the coming day, the structure will be equipped with wind ties - these are devices that fix the arch, ”said the deputy director for production of Mostootryad-1.

For the installation of the overall structure, “strands” of high-strength cables were fixed along both edges of the arch span, stretched to the arch from 16 jacks installed at the top of the fairway supports. The arch was raised on 700 cables with powerful jacks fixed on supports. The carrying capacity of each jack is 650 tons, so, despite the weight of the arch of 6,000 tons, the builders provided a 40 percent margin for lifting mechanisms,” the Crimean Bridge Information Center said. Jacks were loaded gradually.

Installing the arches of the Crimean bridge in the design position is a unique technological operation.

For the first time in the history of domestic bridge building, transportation, positioning in sea conditions and installation from the water on supports of an overall navigable span are carried out.

The maritime operation is carried out in conditions of limited navigation with a time "window" of 72 hours. In general, the operation brought together hundreds of specialists - these are sailors, specialized engineers, employees of research institutes and ordinary bridge builders.

For the duration of the operation, navigation along the Kerch-Yenikal Canal was limited. The ban did not apply to ships and vessels of the Navy, as well as federal security agencies. Vessel traffic will resume as normal. The final installation of the arch on the fairway supports will take another month.

The arched span of the railway part of the Crimean Bridge is a combination of a span structure with through main trusses and an arch. The movement of trains goes along the elements of the farm, while the arch in the conditions of such an extended span performs a supporting function. Farm elements and arches are connected by pendants. Span length - 227 m. Height at the highest point - 45 m. Width along the axes of the arches - 20 m in tightening, 5 m in the castle (upper point). Trains run on two tracks. The design provides for inspection passages, cable support systems, drainage trays, lightning protection and grounding, a monitoring system for engineering structures, aeronautical and ship alarms, a centralization and blocking system (CCS), communications and lighting poles, and architectural lighting.

The total cost of the Kerch Bridge will amount to 227.92 billion rubles in the prices of the corresponding years. The bridge will be the longest in Russia, it will connect the Crimean peninsula with the mainland of the Russian Federation by road and rail.

The capacity of the four-lane highway will be 40,000 vehicles per day, Railway will include two paths with throughput 47 pairs of trains per day. The movement of cars on the bridge should open in December 2018, trains - on December 1, 2019. Every day, more than 200 basic pieces of equipment, more than 20 units of watercraft and more than 5 thousand people are involved in the facility.

Kerch Bridge is one of the largest bridges in Russia. Its length is 19 km. The route starts on the Taman Peninsula, passes along the existing five-kilometer dam and Tuzla Island. Then crosses Kerch Strait, rounding Cape Ak-Burun from the north, and goes to the Crimean coast.

Earlier, Kyiv expressed that, according to the head of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine Yuriy Lavrenyuk, this will lead to a reduction in the number of ship calls to the ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk. This circumstance, in turn, will lead to a decrease in the profits of trade operators and the administration of Ukrainian seaports.

In the Kerch Strait, the first stage of the maritime operation for the transportation and installation of the arches of the Crimean bridge is underway: the builders have delivered, and now they are preparing to raise a railway arched span weighing more than 6 thousand tons onto the fairway supports. More than a hundred specialists are involved in the most complex technological operation - sailors, specialized engineers, employees of research institutes and ordinary bridge builders.

“The maritime operation in the Crimean Bridge project is, without exaggeration, unique for bridge construction: it is transportation, and then lifting and installation in the conditions of the sea with an unstable hydrometeorological background of an arched structure, the weight of which exceeds 6,000 tons. However, such an operation would not have been possible without the vast experience gained by bridgemen in other projects. So our maritime operation is the result of many years of practice and advanced technologies domestic and world bridge building,” said Leonid Ryzhenkin, Deputy Director General for Infrastructure Projects of STROYGAZMONTAZH LLC.

Installing the arched span in the design position consists of several key steps. Before the start of each Quality Control Service, architectural supervision and building control conduct an examination of the work already completed: check them for compliance technical documentation and confirmed by the relevant acceptance certificate.

On the eve of going to sea, the builders prepared the arch for loading onto floating supports. Two floating supports were set up under it, and, having received confirmation of a favorable weather forecast for the next three days, the builders loaded an arched span onto them. On the night of August 28, the floating system began its 5-kilometer journey from the Kerch coast to the bridge alignment. More than 10 tugboats, boats and other vessels participated in this part of the operation - directly at sea. The team of the operation itself is more than 100 people.

In the early morning of August 28, the sailors brought the floating system into the target between the fairway supports with a maximum clearance of up to 65 cm and fixed it with anchor cables. On the supports, by this moment, the lifting equipment is completely ready: lifting units, working platforms, devices (rope jacks, pumping stations and so on).

On both edges of the arch span, “strands” of high-strength cables are fixed, stretched to the arch from 16 jacks installed at the top of the fairway supports. In each of the "strands" there are more than 40 cables, that is, the arch will be raised to a height with the help of almost 700 cables. The lifting capacity of each jack is 650 tons, so, despite the arch's weight of 6,000 tons, the builders provided a 40 percent margin for lifting mechanisms.

During the day, the arch will begin to rise to its design height at an average speed of 5 meters per hour. By the time this operation is completed, the maximum allowable deviations of the structure along the bridge axis will not exceed 60 mm, and across the bridge axis - 30 mm. Then the arch will be fastened with wind ties to the crossbars of the fairway supports.

In total, the installation of the railway arch on the fairway will not exceed 72 hours. At this time, navigation in the Kerch-Yenikalsky Canal is limited. As soon as the builders confirm the reliability of fixing the arch span at the design height, navigation of ships along the fairway will resume in the standard mode.

The final installation of the railway arch on the fairway supports will take about a month. Construction and installation work will be carried out from work sites installed on fairway supports and will not affect navigation in the Kerch-Yenikal Canal.

The second stage of the maritime operation is the installation road arch Crimean bridge - scheduled for September.

On August 27, an operation began to install an arched railway span of the bridge across the Kerch Strait. Floating pillars delivered at night the railway arched span of the Crimean bridge to the Kerch Strait - to the pillars installed in the fairway of the strait, and brought into the alignment of the bridge to rise to the design height. The Kerch bridge will be installed on fairway supports in October this year.

The design of the railway arch of the Crimean bridge weighing over 6 thousand tons bridge builders lifted with the help of lifting equipment for 12 hours. The process was supervised by the leading engineers of the project. Fix the arch on the fairway supports during Tuesday - August 29 .

“The ascent went smoothly. Up to the mark of 10 meters we went more slowly, did a lot of control tests, carried out geodetic control over the state of the structure. Then the main climb began. The arch was raised slightly above the design height for subsequent lowering onto the supporting parts., - said Mikhail Piksaev, Deputy Director for Production of Mostootryad-1.

The railway arch was raised on 700 cables with powerful jacks fixed on supports. It took 16 devices, each with a carrying capacity of 650 tons, to mount the overall structure, which increased the safety margin for lifting mechanisms by 40%. “The jacks were loaded gradually. The initial load of 5 tons was increased to 100 tons. The structure was raised without deviations, within the alignment between the two supports,- noted in information center.

The floating supports, with the help of which the arch was towed to the bridge construction site, returned to the Kerch coast. They will be re-checked and re-equipped in order to transport and mount the road arch.
“As a result, they will rise above the fairway two arched spans under which ships will pass unhindered,- emphasized in the information center. IN within the next month, builders will mount the end elements of the arch, and lower the structure onto special supporting parts.

The information center reminded that the installation of the arches of the Crimean bridge in the design position - unique technological operation. For the first time in the history of domestic bridge building, transportation, positioning in sea conditions and installation from the water on supports of an overall navigable span is carried out. The maritime operation is carried out in conditions of limited navigation for 72 hours. In general, the operation brought together more than a hundred specialists - sailors, specialized engineers, employees of research institutes and ordinary bridge builders.

Bridge across the Kerch Strait which will connect the Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory, will be the longest in Russia - its length will be 19 kilometers. The start of traffic on the bridge is scheduled for December 2018.

Dry cargo ship "Saint Alexei" , following from the Sea of \u200b\u200bAzov to the Black, became the first ship to pass under the railway arch on 30 August Crimean bridge after the resumption of traffic on the Kerch-Yenikal Canal.

PART 1, TRAGIC

As it became known just now, the installation of the railway arch of the Kerch bridge, scheduled for today, was canceled by order of the court of Wroclaw (Poland).
The decision was made today, around 08:00 CET. As interim measures, the court allowed Ukraine to use the military assistance of its allies.

Immediately after the decision was made, Ukraine turned to the United States, and units of Navy SEALs, numbering up to 2 battalions, moved to the construction area from the Fort Bragg base (Fateville, California, USA). According to unconfirmed reports, they are armed, in addition to the standard, Javelin anti-tank systems.
Both submersible pontoons, on which the arch now rests, have been captured by a surprise attack from under the water, and at the moment there is a battle between supporters of Ukraine and a special detachment of GRU penal officers, who are promised the removal of penalties if they manage to recapture the pontoons.
In addition, 2 squadrons of snipers trained at the KTsDiTO are urgently transferred there from Moscow.

The latest aircraft carrier Gerald Ford is sent to the conflict area to provide air support for the SEALs. Now he is abeam Constanta, but he will approach Kerch no later than tomorrow morning.
According to experts, the live video broadcast, allegedly from the construction site, has at least 17 out of 20 signs of forgery, and in fact, most likely, it was organized from a satellite from the Novosibirsk or Yekaterinburg region.
It is expected that after the establishment of full control over the object [the arch], the commander of the American landing force, Corvette Colonel Steve Gregory, will announce the transfer of sovereign rights to it to the Ukrainian side.

The delegation of the European Parliament with the appropriate powers is ready to fly to the scene at any time in order to confirm the legitimacy of the process.

PART 2, OPTIMISTIC

Calm, the wind is silent.
Shipping in the Kerch Strait has been suspended since midnight. An online broadcast of the process has been launched.

06:00 On this moment visually, the railway arch of the Kerch bridge is already on floating piers (pontoons). Tugs are nearby.
07:00 An airship hangs over the Kerch Strait, which transmits weather data online to the builders of the Kerch Bridge.
08:00 Visually nothing is happening at the Kerch technological site. The loading operations of the superstructure will last about 15 hours. Perhaps now there is a confirmation of the weather "window", as the wind began to intensify.
08:15 Recall what happened at the Kerch TP yesterday: the pontoons were filled with ballast, after which they were brought submerged under the arched span. Then the floating supports were precisely oriented under the railway arch, and the pumping of the ballast began. At the moment, the floating supports can start pumping out the ballast again at any time in order to take on the entire load of the arch and raise it above the haulage pier.
08:30 The process of removing the arch from the pier and taking it to the floating supports will take another 2-3 hours. Every millimeter of movement of pontoons and arches will be monitored by specialists.
