Markets in Pattaya are far from the last line among the favorite places for tourists. It is understandable, because it is so interesting there. In the markets you can buy a bunch of different things at a very good price, buy fresh fruit, arrange a dinner for yourself and try many new dishes or take food with you. You can just wander around and look at what is happening around or chat with friends.

Markets are not only things, clothes and shoes…

In Pattaya, today, there is a fairly large number of different markets. Among them are clothing, food and fruit, fish, night (evening). There are both very small ones for several tents, and quite large ones, occupying a decent area. We don’t even dare to name the exact number of various markets in Pattaya.

Night markets in Pattaya actually work in the evenings. Night - it rather means that it closes almost at night. As a rule, such markets work from about 17.00 to 23.00

But some of them are more famous than others. They are popular for various reasons, some because of their convenient location, others because of their scope, some are simply very popular with tourists. Some markets operate mainly for tourists only. There are some that the locals love to visit. We will tell about such, the largest and most famous markets. Naturally, gradually and whenever possible, we will add new markets.

Thepprasit Night Market

The very famous night market on Teprazit Street is the biggest in the city. The market got its name from the name of the street on which it is located.

There are a lot of clothes and shoes for sale. Here you can find various accessories, glasses, bags. Children's toys and puzzles. The peculiarity of the market is a very large number prepared food for every taste. Please note that this is a "weekend market" meaning it is only open from Friday to Sunday. Opens at 17.00 and runs until about 23.00

Jomtien Night Market

This market is no less famous than the previous one. First of all, it is very conveniently located across the road from the sea in the center of the popular Jomtien Beach. So, it is within walking distance for vacationers here.

This market is informally called "Russian Market", and this is due to the fact that guests from Russia really like it. In this regard, almost everything here is focused on Russians - most of the price tags are in Russian and there are plenty of Russian dishes. The clothing malls here are not as big as in the Teprazit market, and the main purpose of visiting tourists is dinner and socializing. Open daily from 17.00 to 24.00

Fish market in Pattaya - Naklua Fish Market

A very famous seafood market in Pattaya. It offers the freshest seafood in a very large assortment. If you are a big connoisseur or just want something new, you should definitely visit here.

A small disadvantage is that it is a bit far from Jomtien and the Center. But it's easy to get to by songteo, see the article about the market for more details. The market is located near the fishing piers in Naklua and therefore the goods come here almost directly from the sea. Fresh simply does not happen!

The market is very popular with both locals and tourists. In addition to the fact that you can buy anything here, you can immediately prepare all purchases right on the market and arrange a delicious lunch for yourself. The market is open daily from 06.00 to 17.00

Large clothing market in the heart of Pattaya, which is located on Second Road, not far from the Central Festival Pattaya shopping center. Many shopping arcades are located under a large roof, so rain is not a hindrance to shopping here. Despite its name, the market is in full swing during the day.

The main goods here are clothes, shoes and various accessories. A very large selection of bags and suitcases, as well as souvenirs and cosmetics. Among the general mass of departments, some stand out for interesting and unique things, and they also sell paintings here. The market is open daily from about 10.00 to 23.00 and is very convenient for its location, especially for those living in the center.

Markets on the map of Pattaya

Geographically, the markets are of course located far from each other, but they are, in principle, easy to get to by songteo (tuk-tuk).

All Pattaya markets are useful and interesting for any tourist who comes to rest. Here you can buy things and fruits, choose freshly caught seafood, ask them to cook and eat right there on the spot. The markets in Pattaya are a kind of attraction where you can get acquainted with the culture and characteristics of Thailand, so everyone should visit them. In this article I will tell you about all the markets in Pattaya, how to find them, how much food, things, fruits cost in the markets. Which markets in Pattaya are the cheapest, and which ones are not worth going to at all. Reading!

Pattaya Markets in Jomtien and around

The most popular markets in Pattaya are located in the Jomtien area and the surrounding streets. A huge number of tourists flock there and the assortment is designed for visitors.
Here you can find both Chinese noodles and mashed potatoes with cutlets, tom yum kung or buy fruit cuts. There are several markets in Jomtien, and below I will talk about the most popular and popular of them.

Night Market Jomthien - Night Market Jomthien

This market is known to absolutely all Russian tourists. It is loved for its accessibility, both transport and price.
Families come to Jomtien Night Market in the evening, as there you can not only have a bite to eat, but also sit with a cocktail, buy a couple of blouses or fruit for the road.
The peculiarity of this market is a children's dance floor with music. From 18 pm, the most popular hits are played there, to which children are happy to dance.

Pros of Night Market Jomtien:

Jomtien Market is a few rows of ready-made food that is cooked in front of you. Here you can and should try fish in salt on the grill (from 100 baht), skewers on a stick of meat and offal (from 10 to 20 baht), fruit necks (25 baht), and you can also refresh yourself with inexpensive tom yum soup (80 baht ) and eat shrimp (from 100 baht).

If your task is to bring souvenirs and some textiles from Pattaya, then it is not necessary to go to Tepprazit night market, the Jomtien night market is a small copy of it. Prices for summer T-shirts, skirts, pants and T-shirts start from 50 baht. Souvenirs with national flavor are in abundance (from 20 baht), as well as electronics, children's toys, beach products and much more.

Fruit on the road or to “eat” can also be bought at the Jomtien night market. The fruit rows are located to the left of the entrance to the market and the merchants speak Russian very fluently. Some people ask where do you need fruit - to go or to eat? If you answer that for now, they will give you a few more exotic fruits for nothing. The most normal seller in this market is a thin girl in the farthest row. It is she who lures buyers with free fruit as a gift.

For parents, an additional convenience will be a free playground across the street from the market. She works all day until late at night.

Night market Jomtien opening hours are from 17 pm to lo 23.

How to get to Jomtien Night Market?

Tuk-tuks for 10 baht run from the center to Jomtien and back. On it, you can get to this market without a transfer for only 10 baht.
Here is Jomtien night market on google map.

Rompho market on second Jomtien

Rompho Market is located opposite Soi 5 of Jomtien 2, next to the Pattaya Immigration Office. It will also be a convenient alternative to visiting the Jomtien night market, as unlike the latter, it is open from the very morning.
Rompo Market sells fruits and vegetables, household items, kitchenware and household goods.
Here you can eat quickly and cheaply. In my opinion, a good Khao Man Gai is sold at the Rompho market in Pattaya - boiled chicken with rice and broth, (45 baht) pizza (from 100 baht), as well as fish baked in salt. Fans of curry, yam salad and other Thai dishes will also find them in abundance here.

Pros of Rompho Market in Jomtien

Convenient transport accessibility. You can go through the fifth soy of Jomtien from the sea in a straight line or get out of the tuk tuk at the turn to the sea to Jomtien and walk 100 meters.

Cons of Rompo Market in Jomtien

Prices for fruits and vegetables are not the lowest and locals do not shop here.

Rompo market on google map:

Opening hours - from morning to late evening.

Ratanakorn market on Tepprazit - Market near the Colosseum

Colosseum market - ratanakorn in Pattaya on tepprazit

In my opinion (and not only mine), Ratanakorn Market is the best market in Pattaya.
Firstly, it is a wholesale market where all restaurants and cafes, macaroons and other merchants make purchases. The market at the Colosseum opens even after dark, at 5 am and is open until noon. After lunch, it does not close completely, but the choice of fruits and vegetables is not at all the same as in the morning.

You need to go to the Ratanakorn market near the Colosseum for fruit to eat and on the road. Here are the lowest prices for fruits and vegetables, the largest selection.

Even in winter, in the market near the Colosseum, you can buy mangoes from 10 baht per kilogram.

Advantages of the Colosseum market - Ratanakorn

The lowest prices for fruits and vegetables in all of Pattaya
The largest selection of fruits, vegetables, fish and seafood
Quite conveniently located
Working from early morning
In addition to popular fruits, you can buy other food to take home.
Like every market, there are cafes with ready-made food, the prices are pleasant

Cons of the Ratanakorn market at the Colosseum in Pattaya

Fruit prices are uneven. Today, a mango costs 20 baht, and tomorrow it may be 50 baht. Although, if we talk about mangoes, then there are ruins with an unpopular but tasty mango variety for 25 baht all year round.

The traders in this market are not very friendly. Bargaining is almost always useless.

How to get to the market at the Colosseum - Ratanakorn Market Pattaya

The market is located at the Colosseum in the middle of Tepprazit Street. Tuk-tuks go around Tepprazit but rarely. You can wait for a tuk tuk at the very beginning of the street (near the big TV and around the corner from the Foodmart store) and get off when you see the large Colosseum complex and the market sign.

The market is open from early morning until noon. Best time to visit - 8-12 am.

Night market Tepprazit night market - Clothing market in Pattaya

night market in Pattaya - Teprazit night market

If you need to buy gifts for friends and family in Pattaya, head to Tepprazit night market from Friday to Sunday. It works only 3 days off a week from 18 pm to 23 pm.

The Tepprazit night market is large, and it will take several hours to walk around it to your heart's content.
Here you can buy souvenirs, clothes, shoes, goods for children, as well as a snack for the cheapest price in the city. Ready-made meals, fruits and vegetables are sold in the rows farthest from the center.

Here you need to try green curry (from 70 baht per serving), green papaya salad (from 50 baht), eat shawarma with crackers (60 baht), and wash it all down with a fruit shake (25 baht). In the middle of the rows, tolerable sushi and rolls are sold (from 5 baht a thing), as well as delicious ice cream. (20 baht a ball).

In the middle of the market, behind it is a small Thai cafe called Burapa. You can go there if you're hungry. Rice, pasta, noodles, any dishes are very budget, around 45-60 baht (90-120 rubles). Landmark - 7/11.

A trip to the Tepprazit market can and should be combined with a trip to the Outlet Mall Pattaya, which is located right behind the market and occupies a fairly large area. The outlet mall is both a stand-alone building and rows of famous brand stores. In the outlet you will find not only summer, but also demi-season, winter clothes for children and adults.
Behind the outlet there is another large store - Tesco Lotus, where you can buy groceries, have a bite to eat at the food court, walk the children in the children's room with climbing frames and slot machines (next to the food court on the second floor).

Tepprazit Night Market Opening Hours - From 17 to 23 from Friday to Sunday
The outlet mall works with 11 to 22 evenings
Tesco Lotus from morning to morning 22 evenings.

You can get to the market, outlet and Tesco on a regular songteo from Jomtien, (10 baht) or for 20 baht on a white songteo along Sukhumvit.

Market at Wat Boon - Mae La O

One of the good Thai markets, where residents of nearby houses buy food and fruits.

Works from morning until 18 pm.

At the Wat Boon market you will find any seasonal and imported fruits, vegetables, meat, ready meals, as well as consumer goods.

Pros - to the right of the market there is a small pavilion in which almost all goods are 20 baht (40 rubles). You can buy a lot of useful things in the household, for example, charging for an iPhone for 20 baht, dishes or toys for children.

Wat buna market is useful for condo residents - Park Lane, Paradise Park, Amazon, Majestic, Atlantis. If you live in one of these houses, you can easily reach it on foot.
Please note that towards the sea, almost at the very end of Wat Bun Street, there are also fruit rows, where prices are sometimes even lower than in the market.

Life hack - next to the market, on the contrary, there are sellers of fish in salt, shawarma, pancakes and kebabs. Everything is edible, we tried everything on ourselves.
Of the cafes nearby, I recommend the Sevilla cafe. Very nice staff, delicious tom yam and good necks.

Mae La O market on Wat Bun on Google map:

Pattaya Markets in Pratumnak District

On Pratumnak, the markets are not as rosy as on Jomtien. In fact, there are only 2 of them. One is large at the Pattaya Park hotel, the second is small, in the soybean area 4 pratamnak.

Market at Pattaya Park Hotel

“Russian Market” is like a Russian street, although, as for me, it will soon turn into a Chinese one.

Pattaya Park Market is open from lunch until late in the evening. During the holiday season it is livelier and more cheerful, in summer it is calmer.

You can buy fruits and vegetables, ready-made cuts and fruits to go. There are several cafes with Russian food in the market. You can also easily find shrimp, fish, popular Thai ready meals, fruit wine, cocktails and shakes.

In my opinion, the Pattaya Park market is rather modest and the prices are higher than in the Jomtien Night Market, and even more so in the Ratanacorn Market.
But for the sake of a kilogram of mango, there is absolutely no point in dragging somewhere far away for the inhabitants of the surrounding condos and hotels.

Market at Pratumnak Soi 4

A small and non-obvious market for tourists in Pattaya. It is made with Thais in mind, not tourists, but any buyers are welcome here.

The market is quite small, but the essentials are there - mangoes, durians, coconuts, mangosteens, lychees and other seasonal fruits. There are vegetables, ready meals and a small shop that sells products that are not found on 7/11 or family March, such as flour, or interesting Thai sauces, sunflower oil.

The market on Pratumnak is open from 12 am to 6 pm daily.

Life hack – Right next to the market there is a wonderful cafe Here Chai. It does not need advertising, as there are always a lot of people here. I also contributed and advertised it in such a way that I myself can’t sit down when I arrive: (and I constantly meet my readers there.
The food is tasty, cheap, a large selection of Thai and European dishes.
Works from 12 am to 22 pm. Closed on holidays.

Market on Pratumnak and cafe "Tea" on Google map:

I also noticed something interesting. The aunt who sells fruits from the edge of this market keeps a point in the Ratanakorn market and her prices are completely different, much cheaper :)))

Pattaya markets in the city center

Fruit Market at Mike Shopping Mall

One of the very best tourism markets. When I was a tourist in Pattaya, we were brought there by tour operators to shop. Now they carry it or not, I don’t know, but they definitely carry the Chinese.

The prices in this market are crazy, and most importantly, there are no price tags and the sellers “value” you, not the fruit. In appearance, the fruits are simply selected, one-on-one.
Probably suitable only for those who are not shy about bargaining fiercely, although even with such a skill, you will be surprised at how much you were shortchanged there in the end.

Works almost around the clock. In general, I do not recommend. Located on Second Street, behind Mike Shopping Mall

Market on South Street near Tuk Kom

The market is actually not quite near the tuk com, it stretched from the intersection with the second and almost to the tuk com.
There is only one plus of this market - that it works around the clock and if you feel like buying fruits or flowers (there are also many flowers here), then you can come there at one in the morning.

Most often, people walk along those rows that are near the road, but there is another market if you go deeper. Here he works at the usual time - from morning to evening. The market, meanwhile, is also rotten, it stinks so much that it hurts the eyes out of habit.
South street is generally the stinkiest in all of Pattaya.

What are the advantages of the market in the South?

You can buy fruits around the clock, and flowers too. On the same street, from morning until 21 pm, the Tuk com electronics center is open, where you can find both new and used equipment, spare parts, and repair something from electronics.
Near the market there is a shop that girls like - Pattaya Beauty. Open until 18 pm.
There is also a good Fascino pharmacy nearby.

South market on Google map:

The disadvantages of this market are high prices, they weigh them down.

Soi Buacao Market

It is often written that this is almost some kind of secret market. In fact, this is the most common market, which is definitely not worth going to on purpose.
It works at full capacity a couple of times a week, on Tuesday and Friday. They sell all sorts of used junk and very low quality things.
Prepared food is available too. In my opinion, there is no point in dragging into this market.

Night Bazaar Market near Central Festival

This is another clothing market. Don't expect miracles from him. The market is ordinary, where only things are sold, there are no fruits and vegetables.

If you are interested in Thai T-shirts, shorts, dresses, then you will find them in abundance at the Night Bazar. They also sell suitcases and other household goods, souvenirs.
Works from morning until late at night.
Located opposite the condo View Talay6, practically opposite the central Festival, from the side of Second Road.

Fish market in North Pattaya

The fish market in Naklua, (Fish Market Naklua), delights tourists. It seems to them that having arrived there they will have the opportunity to buy and eat such a quantity of seafood that they will remember for a lifetime.
In my opinion, this is not entirely true. If you know how to bargain and with due skill, you will really taste lobster at a good price, if the price of 2000-3000 baht can be considered such (4000-6000 rubles).
Lobster will indeed cost less than in a restaurant on Volkin Street or in any other cafe in Pattaya, but there are no bargain prices for tourists at the Naklua fish market.

The market opens at 5 am, when the fishermen bring the night catch and hand it over to the merchants. So the freshest and most delicious seafood is sorted out early in the morning. There is no point in going there by lunchtime, since fish, shrimp, squid, lobsters are not stored in refrigerators, but on ice and may already be the second freshness by that time.

In order to experience and remember the whole gamut of feelings from visiting the fish market in Pattaya, you need to go to the nearest eatery right after the purchase and ask to cook what you bought (fry or boil). For such a service they will take a little, depending on the amount of seafood, from about 50 to 100 baht.

The downside of the Nacula fish market is of course its smell. It is worth wearing closed shoes or flip flops, which are not a pity, as the merchants pour the melted slurry directly onto the floor and the appropriate ambergris hangs in the air.

Fish Market Naklua is open every day and getting there is easy, but not fast.
You need to take a tuk tuk next to Naklua at the “dolphins” in the north and get to the final one if you are going to visit the Pattaya fish market on your own. The journey takes about 30 minutes, depending on traffic.

Summary of Pattaya Markets

Of course, I did not mention all, all the markets, a hundred more small ones remained unnamed, with which Pattaya is dotted here and there. Thais love to eat and very often they buy ready-made meals in the markets from the same merchants for years, so every district of the city has its own small markets that don’t even have a name.
I did not mention the Floating Market - Pattaya's floating market, because the market in the classical sense cannot be called a market - this is a real tourist attraction, for which you still have to pay money to enter. At the floating market of Pattaya, channels are made, on which merchants floating in sharp-nosed boats try to sell souvenirs to tourists at exorbitant prices. Located on the Sukhumvit highway, next to the tiger park, across the road.

In the South of Pattaya, outside the city, in the area of Ban Ampur and Bang Saray, there are also markets, there is even a fish one, but it works only a couple of times a week and a few hours in the morning. There is a market at the second Chaopryk and small markets beyond Sukhumvit. But the likelihood that they will come in handy for tourists who come for a couple of weeks is negligible. And the locals who live there already know about them. For the residents of the Ambassador - you have a market across the street from the hotel, shopping arcades on the territory of the hotel (by the way, the prices are quite adequate and it makes no sense to go somewhere else), as well as many merchants around the exit from the hotel, which are in season - from October to March , sell everything you need: from fruits to pancakes and kebabs.
If you sort my ranking of the best markets in Pattaya, you get the following:

best market where you can find all the fruits of Thailand and at the lowest prices, including a market where it is profitable to buy fruit with you - This is the Colosseum market. or Ratanakorn market (its Thai name).

The best clothing market in Pattaya– Tepprazit night market. Night market at Tepprazit.

The best market for leisure activities, snacks and shopping for small souvenirs, the market with the most successful transport accessibility for many tourists - Night Market Jomtien - Jomtien Night Market, which is open daily from evening to night.

Worst Market of the ones I have listed - the fruit market at Mike's shopping mall.

Almost all the markets mentioned in the article have separate reviews on the site. If you need more information about them, use the search on the site.

How to save money on a hotel or apartment on vacation?

At first glance, it may seem that the topic of Thai markets is beaten and hackneyed - there are a huge number of videos on the network where tourists eat fried cockroaches, buy plates of incredible sizes filled with shrimp for only 150 baht. It is quite difficult to write something new, but we tried to choose the most visited markets in Pattaya and, first of all, make a useful overview. From the article you will learn where the night market in Pattaya is located, how to get to the floating market, and what fruits are sold at numerous Thai food outlets.

Day and night markets in Pattaya on the map

In Pattaya, the bazaar is commonly called the "market". The locals understand this word very well, and if you need to find a market, feel free to ask a taxi driver or a passer-by - they will tell you the way in detail. There are markets or markets in any area of the city, it is not surprising that residents call their city a big market. The main thing is to know the places where they sell good goods, because in Pattaya there are markets where locals exchange goods or poor quality products for a symbolic price.

In Pattaya, as in other cities of Thailand, night markets are common, they work only in evening time. The most visited and popular among tourists is Jomtien Night market. The first sellers start trading around 17:00, the most active sales period starts at 18:00, as a rule, by 23:00 all stalls are closed. By this time, most sellers go to bars and restaurants. A hearty dinner for two here will cost 170-250 baht.

The market is divided into two parts:

  • Where do they sell clothes?
  • where the products are presented.

Healthy! The market is located in the Jomtien area, the landmark is a volleyball court.

More detailed information about the Jomtien night market and the Pattaya district of the same name is presented on.

The largest night market in Pattaya on the map is located on the street with the same name - Teprazit. Here you can buy everything - food, clothes, souvenirs, even animals. At the same time, the prices for the goods are quite democratic. Teprazit is a great place to shop for souvenirs and gifts.

Advice! Pay special attention to the choice of Thai food on Teprazit at night. The best local delicacies are prepared here. For only 120 baht, you can try baked or fried fish. And the minimum cost of treats is 15 baht.

Teprazit market in Pattaya opens around 17-00, the most persistent sellers close their tents at midnight. You can visit the night market three times a week - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - that's why it is also called the weekend market.

Located a few minutes swap meet maybe you will find something interesting here.

Healthy! As for the prices, they are among the lowest here - the standard price tag for clothes is 100 baht, but the quality for that kind of money will be appropriate. If your more interested quality goods, visit the nearby store - Outlet Mall Pattaya.

Outlet Mall Pattaya

The night bazaar is located at the intersection of Teprazit and Sukhumvit streets. The most convenient way to get here is by songteo or tuk-tuk. You need to get to the intersection of the streets, and then transfer to the transport that follows Teprazit Street. If you go on foot, the journey takes about one hour.

There is another way - to sit in the songteo, which follow to Sukhumvit street, get off next to Teprazit and in five minutes you find yourself at the market.

Fish Market (Naklua District)

The Naklua fish market in Pattaya is located in the north, in the eponymous district of the city. This is the largest bazaar where you can buy fresh fish and seafood. From the moment the fish is caught to the sale, no more than 2 hours pass.

Important! Opening hours of the fish market: from 5 am to 6 pm, the best time for shopping is after 13-00, early in the morning some locals sell yesterday's catch, so you can buy stale goods.

For tourists, seafood is of the greatest interest; the most exotic marine inhabitants are presented in abundance on the shelves. In addition to the main assortment - fish, seafood - you can also buy dried products, eggs, meat, fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers. If you go through the entire market and reach the far edge, you can find tents with goods and clothes that are useful in everyday life.

Healthy! The peculiarity of the fish market in Pattaya is that the purchased products can be cooked immediately. You can have a bite to eat in the cafe, they are located at the beginning of the bazaar.

As for prices, the goods here are not the cheapest, but the cost is confirmed by the quality and freshness of the products. Some seafood is still alive at the time of purchase. Another advantage of the seafood market in Pattaya is that you buy fresh goods, so you do not pay for ice. As a result, it turns out that the market is quite inexpensive.

How to get to the fish market in Pattaya. The easiest way is to take a songthaew moving along Naklua. The road from the beginning of the street takes only a quarter of an hour. How to find the fish market? Landmark - a tree growing in the center of the highway, locals consider it a landmark.

Rompho market in Jomtien

This is one of the most inexpensive markets in Pattaya, which can be called shopping complex. The range of malls is universal - from food to clothing. The bazaar is oriented towards Thais as few tourists know where it is located.

The market is divided into two parts, each is located in a separate room. In the building, which is closer to the road, food products are presented, and in the second one they sell clothes and household items.

At the entrance to the bazaar there are macaroons where Thai food is prepared - traditional sweets, seafood. The range includes drinks. Donuts are in high demand.

Healthy! Work near the market massage parlors, bars, so shopping can be combined with a pleasant stay.

As for the location, the bazaar is not very well located, it is difficult to get here without transport. Shopping arcades were built at the intersection of Romfo and Second Jomtien streets. If you walk, then in 8-10 minutes you can easily walk to the entrance to the market. If you go by songteo, you need to get off before turning to the sea, then walk along Second Street for about five minutes and there will be a bazaar on the left.

Healthy! Working hours - from 10-00 to 22-00.

Most cheap market in Pattaya, there is a large selection of exotic fruits and various products. The range of clothes is not as diverse, and the prices are higher than in Teprazit.

All shopping arcades are located in a covered building, and cafes are nearby, in the open air. Traditional Thai food is prepared here. One portion costs 45-80 baht. The covered part of the mall is open every day from morning until late in the evening, and night cafes open around 16-00 and close at midnight.

Advice! Closer to the closing of the market, fruits are sold at a good discount - up to 50%, but you need to carefully choose so that they do not turn out to be spoiled. From a health point of view, it is safer to choose fruits that are more expensive, but of high quality and fresh.

A bazaar was built in the Teprazit region, about half a kilometer from the intersection with Tappra. To get from the center of Pattaya or Jomtien, it is best to take a songthaew moving along Thappray, drive to Thappray Bus Station and then walk about ten minutes along Teprazit. The market will be on the left.

The market is located in the south of Pattaya, on Wat Bun Street, which is adjacent to Jomtien Street. Locals and tourists from hotels built nearby come here. The bazaar is unfamiliar to the bulk of vacationers, since it is located a kilometer from the beach.

it food market with a large selection of meat, fish, seafood, spices, vegetables and herbs. There are rows where takeaway food is prepared. In the far part of the market there are tents with clothes, children's toys, household goods. You will not find souvenirs here.

The cost is calculated for local residents, respectively, the prices are low, as for the prices for fruits, they depend on the season of the year. Wat Bun is open every day from 8-00 to 20-00. If you plan to buy fish or seafood, arrive before 13:00 as they are less fresh in the evening.

The market is located on the street that connects Jomtien Beach and Sukhumvit Highway. If you have booked a room in this part of the city, you must have seen this bazaar. The walk from the beach takes only a quarter of an hour. On the opposite side there is a large 7 Eleven and a small Tesco Lotus store.

Market at Pattaya Park Hotel

This is the only clothing market in Pattaya in the southern part of the city. It is located at: Pratamnak Soi Street, 6. The main feature of the market is that the main part of the sellers here are from the CIS countries, since this part of the city is Russian-speaking.

Interesting fact! At the entrance to the market there is an inscription: "Welcome".

The bazaar is adapted exclusively for tourists, respectively, the prices here are far from the lowest. Of course, you can find cheaper places in the city, but you should consider the cost of travel. As a general rule, if you have booked a hotel room in the Pratamnak area, the best place to shop is Pattaya Park Market.

In addition to clothes, fruits are sold here, but there are no more products at the bazaar, if you need individual ingredients for cooking, there is a food bazaar within a ten-minute walk, at the address: Pratumnak Soi, 5.

In the malls near the Pattaya Park Hotel, the assortment includes clothes, shoes, souvenirs, gifts, cosmetics, leather products. After shopping, you can eat - on the territory of the open-air market there are tables, chairs, there are cafes where they cook in small ovens. Mini-restaurants are open from noon to 1 am, however, during the day many establishments are closed, because there are few tourists - many rest on the beaches.

This fruit market in Pattaya can be safely called a fruit paradise, it is located on Second road, not far from the Mike Shopping Mall. The place is quite hyped, popular, so the prices here are too high. However, there are no price tags on the shelves - the seller looks at the buyer and names the cost corresponding to the status. Bargain boldly, but do not show aggression - this way you are more likely to get a discount.

  • a large assortment;
  • fruits are arranged neatly;
  • product is clean and fresh.

The market is small, consists of only ten tents. You can get there along Second Street, moving in the direction of Third Street. The journey takes approximately five minutes.

  1. If you plan to not only shop in the market, but also eat, consider one detail - in tourist-oriented bazaars, food is sold already in ready-made- buy and eat, and at local bazaars all ingredients are sold separately.
  2. Every street food seller in the markets prepares dishes in conditions of almost perfect cleanliness, since it is a shame for a Thai to poison a tourist. That is why it is difficult to get poisoned in Pattaya with street food.
  3. If you plan to try fried cockroaches, choose those without legs - they are softer.
  4. As for bargaining over the price, the Thais are not very fond of it, but as hospitable hosts, they will give in. You can only trade in the market. By the way, Thais are more willing to yield to families with children, because they love children.

For a European who first came to the Thai market in Pattaya, everything will seem surprising - a large selection of exotic fruits, unusual national dishes, various souvenirs, copies famous brands. You can buy almost everything here, the main thing is to know where to go shopping. A trip to the night market in Pattaya will be a memorable adventure.

If you come to Pattaya, then in the evening, in addition to Walkin Street, you simply must visit the night markets. This place fully allows you to feel the flavor of Thailand and feel the Thai culture. What makes them different from other markets? It is here that you can see the atmosphere of the holiday, because they look like fairs, where various performances and competitions are held, and sometimes you can even find carousels for kids there.

These markets will be a paradise for shopaholics, because they can find everything: clothes, shoes, jewelry, souvenirs, products self made, cell phones, cosmetics and, of course, food. However, it is quite difficult to find branded and high-quality things here. The market sells mostly cheap goods and not too good fakes. Also, only there in the evening you will see a lot of macaroons where you can eat cheap and tasty national food. But at the same time, you need to be prepared for the sight of dirty dishes, garbage and not very pleasant smells. As a result, the impressions received from the visit will be able to replace the emotions from a full-fledged excursion.

By the way, night markets are loved not only by tourists who want to look at the exotic, but also by the inhabitants of the country of smiles. Thais come to the markets to eat, relax, socialize and trade at the same time.

However, it must be remembered that these markets operate in certain time, in most cases from 7 pm to 2 am, and some not even on all days of the week.

So, in Pattaya there are several markets in different parts of the city. Let's start with the largest and most famous - Thep Prasit Weekend Market.

Teprazit Night Market

Thep Prasit Weekend Market is located at the intersection of Sukhumvit Road and Thep Prasit Road. It is not far from the center and the famous Outlet Mall and Tesco Lotus stores in Pattaya. It works from 5 pm to 12 am on Fridays and weekends.

The market has existed since 1999 and has gained its popularity due to the huge range of products and the lowest prices. It is divided into 2 parts, in one you can buy clothes, and in the second - food.

So, walking along the long rows, here you can buy the following goods: clothes (t-shirts, jeans, shorts, dresses, etc.), shoes, leather goods (bags, wallets, belts), souvenirs, jewelry, watches, phones, perfume and so on. Sometimes you can even see animals here.

However, if you are not Thumbelina with size XS and S, then there may be problems with the selection of your outfit, because most of the things there are designed for Thais, who, by Russian standards, have children's sizes. Similarly with shoes, their 50th size will fit a maximum of a man with our 42m foot size.

Therefore, be prepared to leave empty-handed, despite the fact that most price tags will show the figure “100 baht”. The only exceptions are T-shirts with elephants, which are exactly designed for tourists with their Thai XXXL sizes.

In addition, for the price of 100 baht, you can buy gifts for relatives and friends, for example, 4 fruit soaps or 6-7 magnets, as well as some cosmetics: scrubs, creams, shampoos, etc. Phone cases, watches, belts, baseball caps and glasses are sold at the same price.

In the second part of the market, your eyes will diverge from the abundance of various national dishes and exotic fruits.

Here, right in front of you, they can prepare ice cream or fruit juice, and from the fruits that you wish. Fresh costs about 25 baht. Do you want pineapple, do you want mango - please choose which one you like. And there are pineapples! I have no words! No wonder it is believed that Thai pineapples are the best in the world.

In addition, you can still try a lot of outlandish fruits and try to compare them with ours. In general, if you list all the fruits and at the same time describe their taste, you can choke on saliva. Therefore, it is better to try once than hear a hundred times. Most of them cost around 100 baht per 1 kg.

Everything is mixed up in this market, fruits, seafood and chicken can be sold at the same time in one row. And now, passing by all this, you suddenly come across full trays with fried insects: worms, bugs, cockroaches.

At the sight of them, disgust immediately arises. Fu-u-u! How can you eat this? However, it is considered a delicacy for tourists. You can rarely force a Thai to eat insects, and travelers, on the contrary, need a special flavor. Right next to the counters you can have a bite to eat. There are long tables and wooden benches.

You can also cook fish or shrimp right in front of your eyes. If you don’t want to wait, they will serve you ready-made and the one you choose. And there is plenty to choose from. What kind of cooking methods you will not see there. Fish fried in salt, or fish in batter, or another interesting cut along and across, pierced with chopsticks. What about shrimp? There are even grilled ones. Prices for fish start from 80 baht, and for shrimp even from 50 baht.

You can also try Thai national pancakes, which are cooked right in front of your eyes, and also choose fillings for them, mainly banana or mango. Price 30-40 baht.

In general, there is something to see and something to try in this market.

The only thing that Thais do not really like in this market is when they start bargaining with them, because the cheapest prices in the city are already presented here. Therefore, of course, you can ask for a small discount, but do not bring down the price much, otherwise the seller will be offended by you and, in general, will not do it.

Jomtien night market

If you want to eat, buy something, and at the same time miss the Russian language, then you just need to visit the night market in Jomtien, which is located just at the very beginning of the street of the same name. At the entrance to it there is a large mill, which is beautifully illuminated in the evening. Thus, finding a market will not be difficult.

On it you can see a standard set of goods: clothes, shoes, watches, cosmetics, souvenirs, suitcases, bags, etc.

And, of course, Thai food is not complete here. For 50-60 baht you can be offered Tom Yum or Tom Kha soup. And if you wish, they will even make borscht or Olivier salad. The cost of a seafood kebab starts from 10 baht, and the bulk of rice dishes with vegetables or meat will cost you 40-50 baht.

Since for the most part there are hotels and condominiums with a Russian-speaking population nearby, the inscriptions on the market are made in Russian, and the Thais mostly know the minimum set of words and address our compatriots in their native language. Here you can even hear the songs of Stas Mikhailov.

The market is open from 5 pm to 11 pm. However, you need to keep in mind that it is better to visit it on weekdays, since on weekends many merchants leave for more profitable points, for example, Teprazit.

Patanacore night market

The Patanacore Night Market is located at the beginning of Thep Prasit Road near the Coliseum transvestite show. You won't find things in this market. There is only prepared food here.

Therefore, if you are hungry, then in this market you will find Thai food at the lowest prices. A serving of Tom Yam or rice with chicken will cost you 35 baht. However, for this money you will get a lot of spices in the kit. If you are not a fan of spicy, then you need to immediately tell the merchant about it, but for this, be prepared for a slight price increase.

On Patanacore you can also find fruits for very favorable prices, even cheaper than in large stores, such as Tesco Lotus.

The market is open daily from 4pm to midnight.

Night markets SUNDAY Market and FISH Market

In the northern part of Pattaya, not far from each other, there are two markets at once - the Sunday Market and the Fish Market. Both are in the Naklua region.

The peculiarity of the Fish Market is that it is an early market, it works from 5 in the morning. Here you can find various fish and any seafood: shrimps, lusters, clams, octopuses, etc. All products are the freshest. You can quite cheaply (from 100 baht) buy your favorite fish, which you can then ask to cook in any nearby cafe.

Sunday Market is located on Sawang Fa Road. This is a regular night market, starting at about 18.00. Here you can find a standard set of goods, from clothes to souvenirs. And, of course, there you will be offered Thai cuisine and fruits at attractive prices.

Night Market Pattaya Night Bazar

Also one of the popular and large night markets is Pattaya Night Bazar, which is located on Second Road next to the largest shopping mall City Central Festival. The market operates daily, and, despite its name, throughout the day from 9 am to 11 pm.

This place has the largest selection of clothes and souvenirs in all of Pattaya, but here you will not find food and fruits. The clothes are mostly not of very high quality, made in China, but you can also find expensive things, for example, a crocodile handbag for 5000 baht.

In addition, in this market you can relax a bit and get yourself the cheapest fish massage in the city (80 baht).

One of the interesting attractions for tourists is visiting the Pattaya Floating Market, located on the outskirts of the city in the southeastern part on Sukhumvit Road. Market hours from 10.00 to 21.00.

A tourist at a price of 200 baht can rent a boat, on which he will sail past the shops of this market. Main range of about 100 outlets represented by souvenirs. In addition, here you can find several cafes, fruit shops, a ring for fighting or performances of Thai dancers. There is also entertainment for young tourists: catamarans, a room of fear, a visit to the house of dinosaurs and others.

The shops here are small houses on stilts, interconnected by wooden "paths". This market opened quite recently - at the end of 2008, but has already managed to win the well-deserved love of tourists.

There was a time when we went to the night market in Pattaya for several days in a row. And then they stopped. Yes, at first glance Pattaya night market looks huge and diverse, but in reality… In general, be sure to read this article before you go there!

Night market in Pattaya: reviews, prices, photos, place on the map

The night market in Pattaya is the one on Tepprazit, not far from Tesco Lotus and Outlet Mall (place on the map at the end of the article). It is only open three days a week: Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All other days, the night market in Pattaya works, let's say, in restaurant mode: only ready-made food is sold there. So, do not eat this food - our first and main recommendation for this market.

The night market in Pattaya (pictured) is open only three days a week.

Night market in Pattaya: why you can’t eat there

Because unsanitary conditions, that's why. The weekend night market in Pattaya is divided into two sectors: the first sells food, the second sells manufactured goods. Our today's tour of the market begins in the first sector. And let this part of the walk be over quickly, okay? Because the smells here, of course, are breathtaking: huge vats of seafood, all kinds of soups, vegetables and stews are boiling in the open air ... Of course, street food in Pattaya, but the night market on Tepprazit Street offers such a variety that it just makes your eyes run wide!

When we first came to the night market in Pattaya, we also could not resist and ordered a plate of some Thai brew for ourselves. Of course not, but delicious. However, the sight of how the dishes are being washed has beaten off our appetite. She bathed right a meter away from us, in a basin of cold water (and where is the other one from?), in which one batch of dishes replaced another. At the same time, the water, of course, was still the same - muddy and dirty. And from this dish, everyone (including us) ate inexpensive Thai food with pleasure. Doesn't sound very appetizing, does it?

But it looks very appetizing. If you can't wait to try it, it's best to take your food with you. The night market in Pattaya is not the place where you think about the cleanliness of the dishes.

We went around the entire night market in Pattaya, and everywhere the dishes were washed only in this way. And where to go to the sellers, since there are no premises with running water? The question is rhetorical. So the night market in Pattaya works on the principle of “if you don’t like it, don’t eat it.” So we didn't. So our advice: if you come to the night market in Pattaya and decide to buy food, do not eat it there - take it with you. Moreover, the food there is very diverse: not only soups and stews, but also sweets, hot corn, fruits ... And also - mmm, yummy! 😉

Hope for clothes

We quickly move to the second part of the market - where clothes, souvenirs and other important household items are sold. And we are faced with a serious problem: although the night market in Pattaya is divided into several long-and-and-and-other clothing rows, it is not so easy to buy normal clothes there. It is possible, but difficult.

At first we wanted to buy shorts for Olya there. But it turns out that the night market in Pattaya is mainly designed not for tourists (which would be logical), but for Thais. This is manifested, firstly, in the design: for some reason, Thais are very fond of shorts with a very high belt. And secondly, in size: for us, these are essentially children's things. And even for a slender European girl, almost all the local shorts turned out to be small. The same story repeated itself with sneakers for me: men's shoes on the market in bulk, but the most big size, which was found - the 42nd. But I could not buy a cap for another reason. First, there are very few of them. And secondly, those that exist are of such a style ... Well, only these ones wear them, like them ... In general, either performers of African American folk music, or representatives of sexual minorities. Fortunately, I am not one of those or the other.

But not everything is so bad (I'm not talking about myself, but about the night market in Pattaya). What is really in bulk there is T-shirts - and not designed for Thais, but for adults with a normal human physique. Of course, almost all of them are with elephants, but an elephant is a beautiful animal, it won’t ruin a T-shirt. Besides, everyone is in Pattaya, right? 😉 Also, you can safely go to the night market in Pattaya if you need a new phone case and a belt - well, for example, if your child tore your old mobile phone case. There are also a great many of them, while the prices are the most democratic. Fortunately, the Thai iPhone is the same as the Europeans, so it doesn't need a narrower case.

And people come to the night market in Pattaya to buy animals. But since Thailand is a country of prohibitions and pets cannot be kept in the local condos, the animals are only toys.

Night market in Pattaya: prices for some goods

  • Baseball caps - from 100 baht,

  • Shorts - from 150 baht,
