Goetze Armaturen offers 7 product categories for industrial applications:

  • Angle Relief Valves

It is the right choice for a wide variety of applications, media and temperatures. For each area of application, it is possible to find the optimal design in terms of technology and profitability. The valves offer outstanding performance in a compact size. The product is certified by the independent testing body TÜV.

  • Safety valves for heating and solar systems

The latest high performance compressed air valves are great for protecting compressors, tanks or tankers. They are quite small in size, but the colossal throughput allows these valves to be used even in large tanks. The product is certified by the independent testing body TÜV.

  • Pressure relief valves

Valves with proportional opening and closing characteristics that guarantee complete reliability even without TÜV type tests. They are excellent for use in installations that do not comply with the pressure equipment directive and do not require high valve performance. The setting pressure can be set and changed independently.

  • Bypass and control valves

An excellent solution for test benches and systems with circulation pumps. They can also be used as pressure maintaining or unloading valves. Typically used to protect a pump in a closed circuit from overload and overheating. The working medium can be circulated through the pump bypass or through the installation piping.

  • Safety fittings for hygienic applications

These valves feature exceptionally smooth, flawless surfaces. This is optimal in terms of cleaning. Particular attention is paid to the design without any gaps: both in the area of the valve inlet and in the area of \u200b\u200bthe attachment of the elastomer elements. Designed for use in pharmaceutical and food industry installations.

  • Safety valves and fittings for cryogenic technology

The latest valves for cryogenics have a wide range of applications in many industries. Gases at low temperatures are found in a wide variety of activities, from the food industry to medicine and power generation. This cryo valve is an excellent solution for the low temperature segment and is excellent for mixed phases.

  • Pressure reducers

Pressure reducing valves are suitable for use in combination with water up to 120 degrees Celsius, compressed air, inert gases, and non-sticky liquids. Their feature is ease of handling during maintenance and repair. When ordering, you can create your own combinations for optimal use.

The spring safety valve is a type of direct-acting control valve with one purpose - to protect the pipeline and system elements from excessive pressure. In this case, the working medium is released from the system to the outside. And depending on the media, it can be drained into wastewater systems or special containers.

The design of the safety valve spring

The safety valve is spring-loaded on one side simple design, however, many internals differ depending on the application, media and set pressure.

  1. valve body. It is made of almost any materials - for water and steam it is brass, cast iron, carbon steel and stainless steel. For chemical media, valves are made of plastic. Valves made of metals mainly have stainless steel seats and plugs, with the exception of brass, where the operating elements are also made of brass. The valve can be connected to the pipeline with a threaded connection or flanges. Executions under the dairy carving or with the Tri clamp system are possible.
  2. Operating principle. It differs in the principle of operation and the design of the outlet. The most common are full lift and proportional valves. For gaseous media, valves with free flow to air are used. Full lift valves are mainly used in steam systems where the entire volume of the working medium must be removed. In such valves, the poppet rises completely above the seat and is lowered only manually. Taking into account the fact that steam expands when it enters the low pressure zone, the spring-loaded full-lift safety valve has an outlet DN 2 sizes higher than an inlet one. The proportional valve is mainly installed on liquid systems and, when the response pressure is reached, it only opens slightly - the pressure in liquids drops quite strongly even with a small opening. And if the pressure rises, the valve opens completely. The inlet and outlet are the same, and the throughput is lower than that of a full-lift. With free flow to air, it is used exclusively for air or non-hazardous gases. Such valves do not have an outlet pipe and the discharge goes in all directions, with the exception of some models.
  3. Internal construction. In addition to various options for sealing the plate, it also differs in both the internal design of the working cavity and the manual undermining system. Most versions have a metal seat, however, for various media, the seats can be fitted with elastomer inserts from EPDM to PTFE. The design of the working cavity can be gas-tight, bellows or conventional. In the usual design, the working medium can partially enter the spring chamber or escape into the atmosphere. These are the majority of valves. Gas-tight or bellows versions not only do not allow leakage of the working medium, but can also be used to a limited extent under back pressure conditions. The safety valve basically has a manual opening lever for forced opening, while the lever can be in the form of a lever in a classic design, or in the form of a rotary handle. Only some series of gas-tight valves with bellows are produced without a lifting lever.

How to select a safety valve spring Pregran

Selected in several stages. At the first stage, based on the parameters of the working medium, the body material and the type of seal both on the seat and on the body are selected. At the second stage, the diameter is selected - it is calculated under the tables bandwidth valve at the specified set pressure. At the last stage, we determine the type of connection to the pipeline.

Where is the safety valve installed

The safety valve is installed in almost all systems - on steam and heating after control valves, on heating and water supply after pumps and pumping stations. Compressors and deaerators. Wherever more expensive equipment needs to be protected from exposure to the working environment beyond the specified parameters.

Who produces

The spring safety valve belongs to the class of direct acting control valves and is produced by the main manufacturers of such valves. We represent the products of the following factories:

  1. Trading House ADL. PREGRAN safety valves have proven themselves for many years and have been used at facilities of any complexity throughout Russia.
  2. GOETZE Armaturen Manufacturer from Germany with the highest quality products and a wide range of valves in gas-tight design and for compressed air with free flow.
  3. Nacional - Factory from Spain for pressures up to 420 bar and for all media.
  4. Flamco - The Netherlands. Factory-set brass safety valves.

Conclusion

The safety valve, despite its simplicity, has several conditions for the correct selection and they must always be taken into account. We recommend that you fill out a questionnaire and send it to our company office. Our staff will select the most optimal safety valve option for you.
