For the selection of participants, two programs are being implemented: “Volunteers of the Organizing Committee” and “City Volunteers”.

The operators of the program "Volunteers of the Organizing Committee" are the University "Synergy", MGIMO, Russian University of Economics named after G.V. Plekhanov, RSSU and MADI. And the Mosvolonter resource center is responsible for the City Volunteers program.

In total, at least 10.6 thousand volunteers are planned to be trained for the World Championship in Moscow, of which 5.6 thousand volunteers from the organizing committee and five thousand city volunteers.

Volunteers of the organizing committee will help on the territory of the stadiums, while city volunteers will meet fans and guests, introduce them to the sights of the capital.

The recruitment of volunteers started on June 1, 2016. Their preparation is carried out in several stages: all candidates fill out an online questionnaire, undergo an interview and training before entering the events of the Confederations Cup and the championship.

Those wishing to become volunteers of the organizing committee at the World Cup need to fill out an online application form on the FIFA website. To do this, you will need a passport and a digital photo. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess English language and be able to work in a team. Volunteer experience is an added bonus.

The duration of training will depend on these areas. Usually it takes one or two days, not counting the briefings at the championship facilities, which are held before the competition itself.

Volunteers who successfully complete the training will receive accreditation for the Confederations Cup and the World Cup.

Volunteers at the MCC

Volunteer assistance is now in demand on the Moscow Central Circle (MCC), which was launched on September 10. In total, 25 thousand volunteers were involved in the preparation and holding of the Olympic Games, who worked not only directly in Sochi, but also in Moscow. Volunteers met athletes and tourists at nine city railway stations and airports, helped them get to the main city of the Winter Games, where their colleagues worked in the Olympic Village, and helped guests and spectators at the stadiums.

All volunteers underwent preliminary training at volunteer centers based on seven metropolitan universities. There they were trained in several areas, such as "transport", "interaction with the Olympic Committee", "work at sports facilities."

Where else are volunteers needed?

Social volunteering

Social volunteering is actively developing in the capital. Volunteers provide assistance to socially unprotected segments of the population (children from orphanages, the elderly, the disabled) and shelters for homeless animals. Since 2015, Mosvolonter has been helping to create conditions for the full self-realization of orphans and children left without parental care. To do this, master classes of a creative and professional nature are held, giving the pupil the opportunity to gain skills for successful socialization. Particular attention is paid to classes aimed at vocational guidance for children. Pupils are introduced to the world of professions through excursions, master classes, and discussions with experts.

Under the patronage of "Mosvolonter" there are also seven boarding houses for labor veterans. Within the framework of this direction, actions are carried out aimed at the moral support of the elderly.

Blood donation also belongs to social volunteering. Since 2015, Mosvolonter has been conducting donor campaigns in order to replenish the blood bank and create a database of gratuitous donors. As part of its assistance to shelters for homeless animals, the resource center organizes trips to the Red Pine shelter and the Medvezhiy Ugol biostation.

Cultural volunteering

Cultural volunteering is one of the new independent areas in the field of volunteering, which was widely discussed in 2015. "Mosvolonter" is developing the "art volunteering" direction - this is assistance in the restoration of architectural monuments, and work to replenish the exposition fund of museums, and organize excursions, and work with tourist groups. Moreover, the latter is especially in demand during the days of major sports and cultural holidays.

The platforms for the implementation of art volunteering are museums, parks, libraries, cultural centers, theaters, cinemas, cultural centers, city streets (pedestrian areas) and so on. Now in Moscow, this direction is being developed by the State Darwin Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, the Polytechnic Museum, the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center, the Manege Central Exhibition Hall, the Gulag Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, Winzavod, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and many others.

Also within the framework of this direction, volunteers take part in major city events. Among them are "Night at the Museum", "Night of the Arts", "Cinema Night", "Library Night", XVIII International Festival "Intermuseum - 2016".

Event Volunteering

The most popular type of volunteering is event volunteering. Volunteers take part in international forums, various concerts and events. For example, in such large ones as the Circle of Light, Moscow City Day, the Moscow Urban Forum, the Moscow graduation ceremony, the Open Innovations International Forum, the Startup Village International Forum in Skolkovo, the VI International Forum 50 Plus. All the benefits of adulthood.

Large-scale city events dedicated to significant dates also do not take place without the help of volunteers. For example, with their participation this summer on the Krymskaya embankment from 20:00 on June 21 to 04:00 on June 23, an action in memory of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.

Patriotic volunteering

Systematic work is carried out in the city as part of patriotic volunteering. Volunteers help veterans, hold a number of patronage events, participate in the improvement of memorial sites, in organizing major city events (May 9, “Memory Watch. Eternal Flame”, “Memory Line”, a solemn march dedicated to the military parade on November 7, 1941, and others ).

One of the most large organizations engaged in the patriotic direction is the All-Russian social organization"Volunteers of Victory" (volunteers of victory.rf).

Media volunteering

In the capital, media volunteering is also gaining popularity - assistance in creating an information field as Internet volunteers, volunteer photographers, journalists, and videographers. With the support of partners, the Mosvolonter resource center even created a separate training platform - the Khorom media school.

Media volunteers are needed everywhere, because you need to be able to talk about good deeds, and most importantly, thanks to them, a culture of good deeds is formed among the entire population.

What is a volunteer organization?

Spontaneous volunteering is fashionable these days. Many people very sincerely, often emotionally respond to someone else's grief, to some social problem. One way or another, like moths on a warm summer night, volunteer groups or initiatives suddenly appear and just as suddenly disappear. No matter how much such positive volunteer assistance is in demand, it is not enough for us. We think, or rather, we are even sure that volunteering can be serious, systemic, and organized. To the question “What is a volunteer organization?” the director of the REDD Vladimir Khromov and the development coordinator are responsible volunteer movement"Danilovtsy" Anna Gharibyan.

Vladimir Khromov is the director of the Union of Volunteer Organizations and Movements (SVOD). An economist by education. For about 10 years he worked as a specialist in Sberbank. For 5 years he was a volunteer of the "Donors to Children" group of the "Give Life" foundation. From 2008 to 2011, Member of the Board, Head of the Hospital Volunteering Development Project at the Podari Zhizn Charitable Foundation. In 2010, together with the leaders of the most famous Moscow volunteer organizations, he created the SVOD.

The question “What is a volunteer organization?” not legal. Volunteers are attracted to their activities by very different legal form associations and structures. AT Russian legislation there is no such thing as a “volunteer organization”.

Here is what should be said. A volunteer organization is, first of all, a stable community of volunteers (or volunteers, which is the same thing) that exists to help someone or to solve some social problem. Volunteers are people who help with their personal involvement. Their resource is their time, strength, skills, but not money.

The volunteer organization is characterized by the following:

People are united and united by certain basic essential values. The meaning of their unity is not profit or other personal gain, but the provision of voluntary assistance. For example, we can talk about helping children with cancer. There is a child, he is sick, he needs not only medicines and medical assistance, but also blood, leisure, creativity, self-realization. To help a child, to give him all this is the value for which volunteers unite.

A volunteer organization should be, sorry for the tautology, organized. No matter how strange it may sound to someone, it is necessarily assumed that there is a structure in the community of volunteers. Tasks and functionality should be distributed among people. There must be a hierarchy - it usually develops spontaneously, and is based on informal leadership. Of course, volunteers are those who voluntarily join the community on an equal footing. Each of them by itself does not owe anyone anything. But, even in the community of equals, there are people who are ready to make serious decisions and are ready to bear great responsibility.

A volunteer organization cannot exist without the presence of common and accepted by the participants approaches to decision-making. In the volunteer community, one way or another, but everyone should participate in the life of the organization, albeit through the delegation of authority and responsibility to someone. You just need to understand that this is not a club of interests. This is a community for a common cause. Therefore, everyone's voice is important. However, for decision-making, the voice of those who are ready to implement this decision, who are ready to invest responsibly, is more weighty and serious.

The volunteer organization is built around informal leaders, bright personalities who are ready to lead the majority. Of course, in order to carry out charitable activities, leaders must have formal powers and resources. But this is secondary to charisma. By the way, this is why volunteer communities are very different. They are often built around a leader in one way or another.

The main resource of a volunteer organization is people, their relationships, their internal and external connections. Therefore, a volunteer organization is a self-supporting, largely self-sufficient system, capable of adapting very flexibly to any circumstances. Money and other resources are very important, but they are not essential.

Although, of course, as soon as we start talking about systematic work, professional development, stability, then the value material resources increases greatly. And not only. Two, three years at the most, this is the period after which the members of an informal volunteer organization will have to stop and ask themselves: what's next? How can we live?

A volunteer organization at a certain stage acquires the status of a legal entity (it doesn’t matter, it charitable foundation, social movement or something else), learns to attract resources, work with public opinion and interact (it would be nice as partners) with government agencies. Employees begin to work in the volunteer organization, some of whom are former volunteers who now work and provide the ideological and resource content of the organization.

In other words, over time, there comes a period when professionalization takes place in the life of a volunteer organization, without which it is impossible to ensure the stability and duration (several years) of volunteer assistance.

But there is one feature of the volunteer organization, which leaves an imprint on all its further development. Even if the organization becomes legal entity, most of the team begins to work on a paid basis, and the scale of activity is growing - it still retains the spirit of equality, dialogue, the ability to find a compromise and take into account the mutual interests of all participants. And this, taking into account the flexibility of the leaders' thinking and decisions of the "collective mind", determines in the future explosive growth, the development of activities and the breadth of the scale of the tasks to be solved. Such a path has been followed, for example, by the Gift of Life Charitable Foundation and the Volunteers to Help Orphans Charitable Foundation, each of which is a cult phenomenon in its sector. And this is a real prospect for any volunteer organization.

Anna Gharibyan - coordinator for the development of the Danilovtsy volunteer movement, creator and coordinator No. 15 in Moscow. All new volunteers come to the Movement only after .

The first thing to know is that a volunteer organization is not a foundation. The difference is in the meanings and directions of work. Funds - help with resources. We, in turn, are tailored to give human help and presence. We do not treat or replace someone else's professional help. The volunteer organization gives some people the opportunity to share their heart warmth, and other people - our wards, makes it possible to receive this warmth. We stand, as it were, above this meeting, above this process, and we are organizing it. And since this process is delicate and fragile, it requires special skills and special logic. Probably, we can say that we are a donor of friendship, human support, human participation, good mood.

Sometimes from the outside they think, why the organization? Go to the hospital and there is no need to philosophize. However, only an organization can provide responsible, long-term and stable work! Disparate volunteers cannot do this. Yes, besides, hospitals and orphanages themselves prefer to work with organizations. And it is right.

When a person does something on a personal initiative, this is very good, but it does not last long. Let me explain with an example. Why do people go to sports clubs? Because there is a coach, a party, a professional platform. Not everyone has the strength to play sports alone. To achieve professional, and even more or less serious success - whether it be sports or charity, you need to attach yourself to professional community where there are like-minded people, where they will help you, where they will develop the necessary skills, support your motivation, and teach you. It is always easier when there are people around you with whom you can share your interests.

A volunteer organization is a mandatory structure. From the outside you can not see a large "underwater" part of our "iceberg". We are judged by what volunteers do in hospitals or orphanages or somewhere else. And this is good. But I would like to be understood better and know that for the operation of our entire mechanism of volunteer organization of 20 groups and seven hundred people, we need a large team of two dozen employees who work seriously.

When I came to work at Danilovtsy, I was surprised at how many people it takes to make the organization work. Of course, the key positions in the field in hospitals and orphanages are coordinators of volunteer groups. But there is also a leader of the movement, who determines the general line of movement. There is HR, there is a search and attraction of volunteers, training, motivation, office work, advertising, accounting are necessary. Huge efforts are given by our specialists to the training and psychological support of volunteers. We also need fundraising, because we work with donations, with charitable support for our volunteer programs. We have a site moderator and administrator social networks because presence on the Internet is the most important direction!

When you talk about a business, about a company, almost everyone understands that the above are essential components of an organization. But when it comes to us, a charitable volunteer organization, we have to explain for a long time that we are not a circle of interests, but a professional community.

Volunteer organization, precisely because it is an organization has a standard device, as in business. But, at the same time, other principles and mechanisms operate in it. The main difference is that we work with volunteers, each of whom comes to the volunteer group of his own free will, he does not owe anything to anyone - this is pure freedom. The main question that the volunteer organization solves is: how to build something systemic, long-term, responsible out of pure freedoms? How to make a person who has his own unique motivation unite around a good deed with other people? And at the same time, the business would be constant without failure, growing and expanding.

As without the help of awards, careers, corporate culture and other standard motivational things to establish a process? We know the answer. This is our know-how.

The secret of the volunteer movement is in the people themselves, in the leadership of the movement and coordinators of volunteer groups and in the space of human and working relations that they create. The management team is those people, next to whom volunteers can open up and realize their motivation, that is, self-realization. The secret, of course, is that we are doing a good deed together. As a result, volunteers do not so much solve the tasks that we set for them, but rather choose what to do. A specific hospital and its patients attract volunteers, but we do not distribute them there.

An important difference between a volunteer organization and a business is in purpose and meaning. It is impossible to compare earning money with meeting children in an orphanage. When a child who travels only in a stroller, who does not speak, but every time saying goodbye to you just hugs you and smiles, then you understand everything. And, for me, for example, no careers and businesses and earnings can stand side by side.
