On May 9, 2015, in the village of Volnoye, on the Alley of Heroes, near the Stele of the dead pilots, a festive rally was held dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. At 12.00 the villagers, veterans, children, participants of the event gathered to congratulate the veterans and honor the blessed memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War, who, together with all the people, ensured peace and happiness on Earth. With words of gratitude for the accomplished feat in the name of the life of future generations, the presenter opened the rally.
Eternal Flame - as a symbol of memory, a symbol of life, as a reminder of the price that the people paid for the Victory. Invited to the holiday, the prisoner of the concentration camp Senyuk Ivan Onufrievich was given the right to light the fire of memory.
All participants were greeted by: Chairman of the Volnovsky village council Vashatko Larisa Georgievna, director of the Club of Military Patriotic Education of Youth Trotsenko Vladimir Vasilievich, teacher Sviridkina Tatyana Evtikhievna, chairman of the Council of Veterans Kotolevskaya Olga Ivanovna.

From the materials collected from the residents about relatives who fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, the librarian Yulia Anatolyevna Karpekina and the artistic director Litvinenko Vera Andreevna created a memory board “Our Heroes”, which contains photographs and a brief description of the biography. Those present had the opportunity to remember their countrymen who fought on the fronts of the Patriotic War and worked in the rear, providing the front with everything necessary.
